Nail Marbling Tutorial

Hi Everyone

I have been experimenting with some new nail art techniques and this technique I am going to show today is called marbling.

Firstly you will need:

*Nail varnish of choice
*a glass
*room temperature water
*a wooden stick (orange stick)
*Base coat varnish preferably white.
 *micro pause tape

Firstly we need to prepare the nail by sticking micro pause tape round your nail so only the nail gets coated in varnish.

Today I have used chine glaze frost bite (blue), china glaze in the lime light (green) and rimmel yellow sunshine.

we then prepare our water in the glass

We start to drop little droplets of varnish in to the water one on top of the other to make ring like shapes.

Then with the orange stick gently with the tip create swirls in the varnish.

Prepare your nail with a white nail polish so the water polish has something to stick to. On this picture I have used a false nail to show the patterns up better. hover your nail over the bit of the pattern you like and when your ready dip your finger right in and hold under the water for a few seconds.

Use the orange stick to move away all the excess polish and remove your finger.
Remove the tape and clean away any left over bits on the skin with nail varnish remover.
Below is the end result you may wish to apply a top coat to give it a shine.

This type of nail art can be done with any colour you choose using the same technique.
Here are some other examples you might like to try.
